General Healthy Eating Habits:




 1.  Eat in a quiet atmosphere
 2.  Do not eat too quickly of too slowly
 3.  Eat to about 2/3 of your capacity
 4.  Do not eat before the previous meal is digested
 5.  Avoid large amounts of liquids with meals
 6.  Do not mix milk with salty or sour foods
 7.  Diet should include all 6 tastes
 8.  Distinguish desires that may be non-life supporting
 9.  Lunch should be the main meal of the day
10.  Lacto – Vegetarian diet is most sattvic diet
11.  Avoid cheese and yogurt at night
12.  Honey should never be heated
13.  Avoid ice cold beverages or foods, they interfere with digestion
14.  Take a few minutes after eating
15.  Chew well, the digestive process starts in the mouth
16.  Ayurveda does not favor large amounts of raw foods
17.  Do not eat right before going to bed
18.  Do not eat when emotionally upset
